Jewellery care

Care for your Jewellery, ensure its timelessness

REMBS jewellery is exceptionally handcrafted using only the finest quality metals, plating and stones. We celebrate the colour variations found in our natural stones, enhancing their beauty and making them unique for the wearer.

With proper and consistent care, your jewellery will retain its beauty and character for a long time.

See below our guide to assist with caring for your jewellery.

Wearing your jewellery

Avoid wearing jewellery while sleeping, swimming, bathing, washing up, cleaning, using chemicals, or engaging in sports and heavy-duty activities. Protect your gemstones from impact. Natural stones are delicate; avoid hard impacts against solid surfaces, as even the hardest stones can chip or crack.

Always put jewellery on last when getting ready to minimize contact with chemicals found in perfumes, hair products, and beauty products.

Ensure that all plated jewellery pieces remain completely dry at all times.

Storing your jewellery

To maintain the brilliance of your REMBS pieces, store them in a cool, dry place. We highly recommend keeping your jewellery away from bathrooms or humid environments, as steam and moisture can accelerate oxidation.

To avoid scratching and preserve the original lustre, always store your pieces separately in their designated pouch. When traveling or for long-term storage, an airtight environment is best to protect the metal from environmental elements.

Polishing & Care

To maintain the exceptional radiance of your REMBS pieces, we recommend gentle care. Over time, natural oxidation may occur; however, a soft, lint-free cloth is usually all that is needed to restore their original brilliance.

For our 18k Gold Vermeil and Rhodium-plated pieces, avoid the use of chemical cleaners, silver dips, or abrasive polishing cloths, as these can wear down the precious metal layers. Never use ultrasonic cleaners on gemstone pieces, as the vibrations can cause permanent damage or fractures. Simply buff the surface gently with a dry, soft cloth to remove any dust or oils.

The REMBS Standard

REMBS is commited to using premium materials designed for enduring beauty. Each piece is crafted from recycled 925 sterling silver and gold vermeil 18k, layered with 2.5 microns of gold and combined with ethically sourced gemstones, creating a new standard in demi-fine jewellery.

Our refined multi-layer process builds upon a sterling silver base, finished with layers of silver, palladium, and 18k gold vermeil or a protective rhodium finish to ensure superior durability and radiance.

The Longevity of Your Pieces

With mindful care, your REMBS jewellery is designed to preserve its beauty for years to come. However, please note that all surface treatments and fine platings, such as 18k Gold Vermeil or a Rhodium finish, may naturally evolve over time.

The longevity of these precious layers depends on various factors, including storage habits, frequency of wear, and individual skin acidity. This natural evolution is a characteristic of fine plating and is not considered a manufacturing fault.

To restore your piece to its original brilliance and replenish its plating, we recommend visiting a professional jeweller for a replating service, ensuring your jewellery continues to shine as it did on day one.

Warranty

All REMBS pieces are crafted to the highest standards, ensuring the integrity of our craftsmanship. We stand behind the quality of our work and offer a warranty against all manufacturing faults. Proof of purchase is required for all claims.

Please note, our warranty exclusively covers production defects. It does not include: accidental damage, normal wear and tear, oxidation or fading of plating, broken or tangled chains, cracked or chipped stones or pearls, or the bending of rings and earrings. Additionally, the warranty is voided if the item has been altered or repaired by a third party.

If you believe your piece has a manufacturing defect, please reach out to our team at hello@rembsjewellery.com. We are committed to ensuring your jewellery remains as timeless as intended.
